Tucano’s eco-sustainable journey at MIPEL
“The Journey” was the key theme of the 125th edition of Mipel, the international event dedicated to leather goods and fashion accessories, held at the Fiera Milano-Rho exhibition hall from 18 to 21 February. The event was organized with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation (MAECI) and the ICE Agency, as well as the patronage of the City of Milan. The theme also aligned perfectly with MIPEL’s choice to expand its offer by presenting a new area dedicated to the Travel and Business sectors, an exclusive space reserved for Italian and international brands to showcase their products.
Tucano welcomed visitors at a stand full of new innovations for both work and travel with many creative ideas and unique expressions of Italian design. The products, designed for each season, are characterized by the use of innovative and refined materials, such as eco-friendly resins and rubber-look fabrics. Among the products on display, the Schizzo and Rilievo laptop covers showcased a fashionable twist, featuring both graphics inspired by leaves and fish, and charming, unique, tone-on-tone embossed motifs. Tucano has dedicated two important collections to the business arena: Desert Premium and Modo Premium, both made with refined and eco-friendly materials and finished with leather details. First in line was the Gommo collection, a large family of bags and accessories for work, travel and leisure, characterized by a waterproof rubber finish. Then there were the canvas shoppers and backpacks from the Carry collection, dedicated to informal travel and short trips.
Among Tucano’s distinctive elements is eco-sustainability, a “green” production process adopted in recent years that involves the use of materials that are made with recycled plastic or compostable. Almost all of the products exhibited at MIPEL 125 were environmentally-friendly and sustainable, made with real attention to the environment and distinguished by the use of certified materials and accessories, all in line with new European regulations.
