Lighten your backpack with AGS technology

Lighten your backpack with AGS technology

Can you combine design and comfort with the help of technology? You can with Tucano’s anti-gravity system, the shoulder strap suspension system designed to reduce the load on your shoulders and back. Thanks to the elastic movement of the shoulder straps, Tucano’s AGS backpacks reduce the stiffness of the back and neck muscles by buffering the pressure of the load caused by the weight of the backpack’s contents and allowing a balanced distribution of weight between the shoulders and the pelvis, with the consequent improvement in stability and posture.

Tucano’s anti-gravity system is inspired by the ancient Chinese “Bian Dan” which made it possible to carry two heavy loads by tying them to either end of a bamboo pole which, due to its flexibility, was able to reduce the sensation of weight on the shoulders.

AGS is a technological system capable of transforming the concept of weight and portability and having an effect on our “sense of well-being” due to the fact that the shoulder straps are not rigidly fixed, which is even more effective if the content of the backpack weighs a significant amount.

Lightweight as an AGS backpack!

Tucano has recently launched Binario, Bravo and Bizip, the new backpack models featuring AGS technology, all made of material produced from recycled plastic, which complement the other business backpacks in the Planet collection and with identical technological features: Marte Gravity, Luna Gravity, Terra Gravity and Sole Gravity.

Our focus on ecology, evident in the latest three models, thanks to the materials produced from recycled PET plastics saved from the landfill and transformed through a regeneration process, is found in the majority of the Tucano collections. As a company, we prioritize renewal and transformation to protect the planet.

The theme of ecology, present in the last three models, thanks to the materials obtained from PET recycled from the environment and reworked through a regeneration process, is present in most of the Tucano collections, placing the company in a context of renewal and transformation aimed at safeguarding the planet.

Tucano enters the Metaverse

Tucano enters the Metaverse

Tucano’s Metaverse is a virtualshowroom created in collaboration with TechStar, an Italian Metaverse Enabler company, which develops technologically advanced solutions.

A virtual place suspended between space and time, within which the three, large, main environments narrate the corporate story, featuring protection, design, and eco-sustainability, essential elements of the brand’s identity, which are also the focus of each product or project. The Tucano Metaverse also has a central area, intentionally empty, the fulcrum of freedom of expression and a springboard for new innovations and special projects. This is the collection room, a place which is constantly in transformation, where bags, backpacks, cases, and covers will have the opportunity to take center stage and be available for users to interact with. The Tucano Metaverse is set in a deliberately unadorned desert, attractive in its silence and its breadth, an infinite space open to ideas and creativity.

Presented in Milan on November 18 at Tucano’s historic headquarters, in Piazza Castello 19, the Metaverse project is an important step towards the future, the ideal place for the brand to tell its story, creating a space for marketing and business as well as exploring the needs of a market in continuous transformation.

In line with the push towards digital transformation, the Tucano Metaverse will allow the customer to live an interesting immersive experience by promoting new scenarios capable of redefining marketing strategies and business models and generating new relationships and connections. It is also an inclusive world through which it is possible to dialogue with new generations using their languages.

Today the Tucano Metaverse can be accessed via the site, by clicking on the oculus icon, which can now be found in the main menu bar. There will be different ways and possibilities to approach the project, more or less immersive and in line with the needs of an increasingly heterogeneous market.

The Tucano Metaverse was developed in three steps, starting from the meeting between TechStar and Tucano, through to the collection of materials and data used to define mood boards and objectives. Subsequently, we moved on to the design phase with the creation of 3D spaces, Digital Twins, and assets to support storytelling as well as with the definition of the methods for exploring the virtual environment. Today, with the launch of the URL for flat and immersive access, the Metaverse created by TechStar and Tucano is ready to be explored by end users.

Tucano is an official sponsor of the 26th edition of Fair Play Menarini

Tucano is an official sponsor of the 26th edition of Fair Play Menarini

For the first time, Tucano participated as a sponsor of the 26th edition of Fair Play Menarini, held on 5 and 6 July in Florence and on 7 July in Castiglion Fiorentino. The intense three-day program included an awards ceremony along with interviews and messages in line with our shared ethics. The spirit of this sports award, created in 1997, is based on much more than simple compliance with the rules, it’s goal is to showcase what’s best about sport, understood as an ethically correct game in which competitors respect each other, avoiding any form of discrimination or violence. Respect for oneself and for others is the basis of those who play sports at an amateur or competitive level and the Fair Play award rewards ethics, loyalty, and respect – not only among athletes but also in other contexts, be they on or off the field. The Menarini Fair Play award is an award given to champions, people, and institutions that, after the award is conferred, become global “Ambassadors of Fair Play”. The 2022 prize was awarded to 16 Italian and international champions, unique people in terms of their understanding of life and sport, natural ambassadors of behavioral ethics capable of making a significant difference within the sports environment.

Among the winners: Federica Pellegrini and Ian Thorpe, Marco Bracci and Casey Stoner, Tania Cagnotto and Massimo Ambrosini. The 2022 award ceremony for the winners took place in the main square of Castiglion Fiorentino, the final moment of the three-day event, the first two days of which were in Florence. Tucano supports Menarini in a project that goes beyond sport, a project dedicated to valuing athletes and people. Menarini Fair Play represents a lifestyle that is capable of promoting values inherent in sport and life: friendship, respect for the individual and for the group, loyalty and ethics in behavior and actions.

Tucano at the 79th Venice International Film Festival with a recycled plastic shopper for the Industry Office and a neoprene tote for the Golden Lion

Once again this year Tucano is taking part in the Venice International Film Festival as an official supplier. For the 79th edition, and celebration of the festival’s 90th anniversary (the first edition was held in 1932, from the 6th to the 21st of August, at the Excelsior hotel), Tucano has created two different bags: the well-known Industry Office shopper, made of materials produced from recycled plastic and available in two colors, and the neoprene tote, made in a sophisticated dark tone, to protect the prestigious Golden Lion Awards on the evening they will be presented. The partnership between Tucano and the Venice International Film Festival, now in its eighteenth year, is consolidated by the common theme of eco-sustainability highlighted by the green philosophy that forms the foundation of Tucano’s production strategy and by the commitment of the Film Festival in realizing “all events and activities according to consolidated and acknowledged principles of environmental sustainability.”

Directed by Alberto Barbera, the 79th edition of Venice International Film Festival will be hosted by actress Rocío Muñoz Morales while American actress Julianne Moore will serve as president of the jury. The Golden Lions for Lifetime Achievement will be awarded to French actress Catherine Deneuve, an icon of international cinema and exponent of the Nouvelle Vague (New Wave), and to Paul Joseph Schrader, American director, screenwriter and film critic among the greatest exponents of Hollywood cinema. The opening night will be dedicated to the film White Noise by Noam Baumbach, based on the Don De Lillo novel published in 1985, very topical with its themes that speak to the climate and post-pandemic emergencies. Five Italian titles are among the films in competition: Il Signore delle formiche by Gianni Amelio, Bones and All by Luca Guadagnino, L’Immensità by Emanuele Crialese, Susanna Nicchiarelli’s Chiara, as well as Monica by Andrea Pallaoro. Foreign films in competition are also highly anticipated, Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale, Andrew Dominik’s Blonde, Alejandro G. Iñárritu with Bardo, and Florian Zeller with The Son. The Italian and foreign films included in the Out of Competition selection are also awaited with interest, and deal with intense and pertinent topics.
