Despite the recent challenges and difficulties, this period has generated value, making it possible to implement a new technical sponsorship project between these two Milan-based organizations in 2021.

This partnership brings together the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, a prestigious training center that guides talented performing arts professionals from around the world through meaningful learning experiences, and Tucano — a leading Italian brand in the production of bags, backpacks and accessories — a company always ready to support youth and those organizations that enhance their potential. This collaboration, in addition to confirming Tucano’s support of culture and the arts, expresses the link with the iconic beauty of an extraordinary, world-famous location: the Teatro alla Scala, together with its prestigious Academy, a top-notch training center and proving ground for talented individuals.

Renowned as an institution dedicated to the education of performing arts professionals — including in the technical and managerial fields — the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, which hosts more than 1,600 students annually, offers comprehensive professional training in four different Departments: music, dance, stagecraft, and management.

Tucano customized three products from the catalog with the Accademia’s logo, the ODDS backpack, in raw-edged neoprene, the Doppio backpack and the Tugò trolley, for the employees and some students of the Academy.

But Milan is only the starting point for a narrative that is ready to cross borders through a continuous exploration of excellence and an extraordinary cooperation between these two organizations.

Milan, June 20-23. Tucano participates again this year as a sponsor in the fourth edition of the well-known Milanese film festival that in the number 2019 turns into Fuoricinema-Fuoriserie, enriching its schedule with new content to talk about, television series and their importance audio-narrative. Another novelty concerns the period and the location, no longer September but June and no longer external sites but the magical world of cinema Anteo, the temple of Milanese cinema, together with the Cloister of Santa Maria Incoronata and Via Milazzo, in the historic center, where personalities from the world of cinema and entertainment will dialogue with the public and journalists, around the magic word that offers the theme of this event, love. A term rich in meaning that can produce emotions and dreams, translated into stories and experiences of life but especially in reality. Tucano, as usual, participates with its products, selected with “love” for the 180 VIPs of the event, the Mister, a backpack for travel, sports and leisure, in bright colors and high-performance materials, and the bag in bag Mia, an organizer for luggage and bag, convenient on all occasions. For fashion week in Milan and Paris, having recently launched the O.D.D.S collection of raw-edged, neoprene backpacks and accessories with visible seams, Tucano has planned a marketing event with the MP Management modeling agency. During fashion week in Milan and Paris, three hundred models will be carrying the Trap backpack from the O.D.D.S. collection, chosen especially for the occasion and personalized ad hoc.

Tucano has focused on two special colors chosen for the initiative: sand and olive green. This marketing event is very significant for Tucano, as it has only recently made its debut in the fashion sector with an interesting and innovative selection of products: the collection dubbed O.D.D.S., which stands for “Our Dreams Deserve Space”. In addition to its special features, raw-edged neoprene with visible seams, our new line of casual backpacks and bags also stands out for its sophisticated shapes, its color palette, and its color-coordinated micro accessories. All of these features enhance the dynamism and lightness of this contemporary design.

Tucano had a great experience at MIPEL, the leather goods and fashion accessories trade fair, recently held in Milan’s Rho Exhibition Centre. During the trade fair Tucano’s stand showcased the best of Italian design, with backpacks, bags and accessories as well as an area dedicated to Tucano Shake – featuring graphics by Atelier Mendini, and ODDS – a surprising line of “raw-edged” neoprene backpacks.

Tucano has also created an interesting line of bags, backpacks and accessories, designed by Italian stylist Laura Federici, whose “Laura Fed” brand bridges the concepts of fashion and interior design. The Laura Fed for Tucano collection is a limited edition, which includes eight products in two different colorways: black and white as well as red and white. The collection is on display at the Excelsior Milano from the 17th to the 25th of September and at the Scenario spaces located within the Fieramilano-Rho Exhibition Centre.

A project created exclusively for MIPEL and welcomed by Tucano with enthusiasm as part of a much broader initiative that also includes an exhibition in October, in Seoul, at the MIPEL leather goods showroom.
