Tucano presented its anti-radiation covers for smartphones at the “Emergenza Cancro” (Cancer Emergency) conference organized by SIMA in Montecitorio.

The daylong event, organized in the Chamber of Deputies by SIMA (Italian Society for Environmental Medicine), focused on the topic of the urgent situation relative to cancer development and the correlation between the increase in pediatric cancer and Italy’s most polluted cities. Despite the fact that pollution is a high risk factor, and measures to control it are still not very effective, much can be done in terms of prevention both in the public and in the private spheres. Tucano has developed a special cover for smartphones, available for the most popular models on the market, capable of reducing the damage done by electromagnetic fields by approximately 80%. During the conference Tucano’s CEO, Dr. Luini, described the project, supported by the engineers from Bari Polytechnic University, the authors of the research. Recently the WHO, World Health Organization, addressed the carcinogenic potential of radio frequencies/radio waves, recommending that cellphones be used prudently. The same issue was addressed by the Lombardy Region through an awareness campaign. Tucano covers with anti-radiation shielding, designed and patented for safer use of cellular telephones, reduce the risk of potential health damage due to radiation. Made with a certified internal material, Tucano’s anti-radiation smartphone covers have been scientifically tested and feature carefully researched design available at the same price as any other quality cover.

Tucano was a big success at the autumn edition of MIPEL, held at the Fieramilano-Rho Exhibition Centre from 16-19 September.

Tucano had a great experience at MIPEL, the leather goods and fashion accessories trade fair, recently held in Milan’s Rho Exhibition Centre. During the trade fair Tucano’s stand showcased the best of Italian design, with backpacks, bags and accessories as well as an area dedicated to Tucano Shake – featuring graphics by Atelier Mendini, and ODDS – a surprising line of “raw-edged” neoprene backpacks.

Tucano has also created an interesting line of bags, backpacks and accessories, designed by Italian stylist Laura Federici, whose “Laura Fed” brand bridges the concepts of fashion and interior design. The Laura Fed for Tucano collection is a limited edition, which includes eight products in two different colorways: black and white as well as red and white. The collection is on display at the Excelsior Milano from the 17th to the 25th of September and at the Scenario spaces located within the Fieramilano-Rho Exhibition Centre.

A project created exclusively for MIPEL and welcomed by Tucano with enthusiasm as part of a much broader initiative that also includes an exhibition in October, in Seoul, at the MIPEL leather goods showroom.

This year the now familiar Tucano shopper will brighten up the Lido during the 75th Venice International Film Festival.

The 75th Venice International Film Festival, headed up by Alberto Barbera, which runs from August 29th to September 8th in the picturesque setting of the Lido, will feature a jury led by Mexican film director Guillermo Del Toro who won the Golden Lion in 2017 for his film ‘The Shape of Water’.

Walking across the coveted red carpet will be famous visitors such as Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. The Golden Lion Honorary award will be given to both Vanessa Redgrave and David Cronenberg.

Once again this year, Tucano has created the official shopper for this event – the most important film festival in Italy, which is also among the most prestigious in the world – confirming the brand’s strong bond with the world of cinema and with all of the important cultural and artistic events surrounding it. The shopper, designed exclusively for the event and featuring an especially unique color palette, will enliven the already stimulating environs of the Festival, showcasing Tucano’s unmistakable, signature style.

The American film ‘First Man’, directed by American filmmaker Damien Chazelle and starring Ryan Gosling, has been chosen as the Festival’s opening film. The film depicts the NASA mission to land Neil Armstrong on the moon. The closing film will be ‘Driven’ by Nick Hamm, a movie inspired by a true story involving an FBI agent and a pilot who became an informant.

As part of Milan Photo Week, a week of must-see exhibitions and events, Phifest will be held from June 8-10 at the Fabbrica del Vapore. This Contemporary Photography Festival has dedicated the venue to a group exhibition by international photographers around which a series of related activities will take place: workshops, talks, and meetings with the artists.

This year’s theme is color, and Tucano has participated by giving each member of the organization and its staff their very own folder from our “Colore” collection, created with our famous Second skin® neoprene. Tucano’s focus on participation in artistic and creative events in Milan, and many other Italian cities, is an expression of the attention the company always dedicates to every facet of culture.

Tucano and the football team of the Chinese Super League, Heng Feng F.C, have signed an important sponsorship agreement

Tucano and the football team of the Chinese Super League, Heng Feng F.C, have signed an important sponsorship agreement

Tucano has signed an important co-branding agreement with the Chinese Super League team Guizhou Hengfeng F.C., owned by the Wen family, for the sponsorship of the club. They have also announced the “Academy” project that will create a partnership with A.C. Milan’s youth team.

Wen Xiaoting, president of the club, is the first woman to head a Chinese team and one of the youngest in the history of world football to have filled this role.

The agreement signed between the club’s president Wen Xiaoting and Tucano’s CEO Franco Luini, involves the creation of a complete line of accessories customized with the club’s logo and colours and typified by the brand’s Made in Italy design and style. Accessories and backpacks, accessible to all, have been designed to consolidate the strong bond between the club and its supporters.

This is the first time that a Chinese Super League team has chosen an Italian brand as a sponsor. This project, linking Guizhou Hengfeng F.C. and Tucano, is altogether unique and without a doubt newsworthy. And, it’s even more important in this crucial moment in the development of Chinese football, which is currently aiming to participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and specifically working to create a charismatic and competitive league.

A determining factor in the success of the agreement was the advisory role played by Football Capital, a sports marketing and athletes’ management agency that boasts a well-established global presence and has offices not only in Europe, but also in South America and China.

The desire to consolidate its strong ties with Italy is also demonstrated by the new agreement between the Chinese team and A.C. Milan that will see the implementation of the “Academy” project to create a partnership between the Clubs’ youth teams. This project is made possible thanks to the strong ties that bind club president Wen Xiaoting with A.C. Milan’s new management.
