Tucano has signed an important co-branding agreement with the Chinese Super League team Guizhou Hengfeng F.C., owned by the Wen family, for the sponsorship of the club. They have also announced the “Academy” project that will create a partnership with A.C. Milan’s youth team.

Wen Xiaoting, president of the club, is the first woman to head a Chinese team and one of the youngest in the history of world football to have filled this role.

The agreement signed between the club’s president Wen Xiaoting and Tucano’s CEO Franco Luini, involves the creation of a complete line of accessories customized with the club’s logo and colours and typified by the brand’s Made in Italy design and style. Accessories and backpacks, accessible to all, have been designed to consolidate the strong bond between the club and its supporters.

This is the first time that a Chinese Super League team has chosen an Italian brand as a sponsor. This project, linking Guizhou Hengfeng F.C. and Tucano, is altogether unique and without a doubt newsworthy. And, it’s even more important in this crucial moment in the development of Chinese football, which is currently aiming to participate in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and specifically working to create a charismatic and competitive league.

A determining factor in the success of the agreement was the advisory role played by Football Capital, a sports marketing and athletes’ management agency that boasts a well-established global presence and has offices not only in Europe, but also in South America and China.

The desire to consolidate its strong ties with Italy is also demonstrated by the new agreement between the Chinese team and A.C. Milan that will see the implementation of the “Academy” project to create a partnership between the Clubs’ youth teams. This project is made possible thanks to the strong ties that bind club president Wen Xiaoting with A.C. Milan’s new management.
