From September 26 to 30, 2024, Turin hosted the 15th edition of Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, an event dedicated to good, clean, and fair food. Parco Dora was transformed into a vibrant international hub, attracting over 300,000 visitors and 700 exhibitors from 120 countries. The theme of this year’s edition, “We Are Nature,” emphasized the need for a new relationship with nature through food, offering solutions for a sustainable future.

Key topics included sustainable agriculture and biodiversity protection, with a focus on urban regeneration and food policies. During the five-day event, more than 1,000 activities brought together producers, chefs, activists, and young people, all sharing the common goal of rethinking the food system to address global environmental challenges.

In line with the values of the event, Tucano participated as a Green Partner by creating the official tote bag, made entirely from recycled plastic. This tangible action highlighted a commitment to more eco-friendly practices, helping to reduce the environmental impact of the event. The tote bags distributed to participants were not just a practical accessory but also a symbol of the focus on circular economy and material reuse.

Tucano’s presence marked a step forward towards greater sustainability in events, promoting environmental awareness among visitors and exhibitors, and supporting the values of Slow Food and Terra Madre.

Dal 26 al 30 settembre 2024, Torino ha ospitato la quindicesima edizione di Terra Madre Salone del Gusto, un evento dedicato al cibo buono, pulito e giusto. Parco Dora si è trasformato in un vivace crocevia internazionale con oltre 300.000 visitatori e 700 espositori, provenienti da 120 paesi. Il tema dell’edizione, “We Are Nature,” ha sottolineato la necessità di una nuova relazione con la natura attraverso il cibo, proponendo soluzioni per un futuro sostenibile.

Tra gli elementi centrali della manifestazione, l’agricoltura sostenibile e la protezione della biodiversità hanno trovato ampio spazio, così come i percorsi dedicati alla rigenerazione urbana e alle politiche alimentari. Durante i cinque giorni, oltre 1000 eventi hanno coinvolto produttori, cuochi, attivisti e giovani, con l’obiettivo comune di ripensare il sistema alimentare per affrontare le sfide ambientali globali.

In linea con i valori dell’evento, Tucano ha partecipato come Green Partner realizzando la shopper ufficiale interamente prodotta con plastica riciclata. Questo gesto concreto ha voluto sottolineare l’impegno verso pratiche più rispettose dell’ambiente, contribuendo alla riduzione dell’impatto ambientale dell’evento. Le shopper distribuite ai partecipanti non sono state solo un accessorio utile, ma un simbolo dell’attenzione all’economia circolare e al riuso dei materiali.

This year Tucano is again participating in the Venice Biennale’s International Film Festival, celebrating the 20th anniversary of this important collaboration. The BAM Circus took place from the 24th to the 26 of May, 2024, in the heart of Milan. This event transformed the Parco Biblioteca degli Alberi (Library of Trees Park) into a setting that sparked both excitement and creativity. The festival offered a variety of performances, from acrobatics to street theater, attracting more than 50,000 visitors of all ages. A unique opportunity for the public to immerse themselves in a world of art and culture, which was enthusiastically welcomed by young and old alike.

The BAM Circus was not only an entertainment event, but also a time for Milan’s local community and visitors from other cities to meet and share this extraordinary cultural experience. Artistic performances ranged from spectacular aerial acrobatics to engaging street theater shows. The participation of international artists further enriched the festival, making it a must-attend event in the context of Milan’s cultural scene.
